Our curriculum is led by Board-certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Joseph Russo, and taught by his team of clinical experts and instructors. Aesthetic Mentor also collaborates with industry luminaries to hold special classes, lectures, workshops, and roundtables. Be sure to sign up for email notifications to receive updates on available courses.
Aesthetic Mentor trains licensed medical professionals such as an LPN, RN, NP, CRNA, MD, DO, PA and DDS. Licensed estheticians are eligible to take some classes too, as noted in the class description. You must hold an ACTIVE MEDICAL LICENSE in order to participate in injectables courses. Please have your license number ready to submit for verification.
Hands-on participation in the training is based upon the Board regulations of the facility's state and eligibility may vary. Review the event information prior to registering. If you'd like more information on our medical aesthetics training Boston & Hartford Student Advisors at Aesthetics Mentor can answer any questions you have. Call us today!
No, you only require an active license to train. Our Boston medical aesthetics training facilities at Aesthetics Mentor have supervising physicians and authorized prescribers who use a proprietary EMR software system for charting and compliance. Your instructor will ensure proper charting and orders are occurring and delegate treatment plans to you. All training models are considered patients of the supervising physician.
Please note: LPN, RN, NP, CRNA, and PA licensed professionals require supervision as dictated by the regulations of your state Board in order to treat patients once your certification is complete. Cosmetic and aesthetic medical treatments must follow medical laws and protocols.
For more information regarding compliant practice of aesthetic medicine, please visit Association for Medical Aesthetic Professionals (AMAP) at a-map.org.
The majority of our courses are hybrid - combining online didactic learning with in-person hands-on practicum.
On-location courses are hosted at one of our two locations:
Boston, MA303 Wyman Street, Suite 150Waltham, MA 02451
Hartford, CT95 Glastonbury Boulevard. 3rd Floor, Suite 303Glastonbury, CT 06033
Class type and location are noted in the class description. On-demand and online portions MUST be completed prior to attending your on-location clinic training.
See our Course Calendar pages for location information!
Yes, clinic size is limited to maintain our 2:1 student to instructor ratio for an intimate learning experience.
All hands-on will be performed on models under the supervision and coaching of a certified Instructor. For the best learning experience, we recommend recruiting a model you know in order to follow their treatment results. If a course requires the student to bring a model, his/her treatment is included in your tuition. Consider your model your first lifelong patient!
Each class description will note model requirements and emails will discuss model selection criteria so you can choose the most appropriate models for your training.
The didactic portion of most courses is completed through our online learning platform. Online courses are broken up into short, easy to follow modules. You can work on the on-demand training on your own schedule, but each class has a 2-4 week completion deadline to keep you on track. The progress of your on-demand course is recorded. Once completed, you can return to any module for reference.
There will be short unscored quizzes at the end of some modules focusing on the highlighted information within, and a final exam will be held at the end of the on-demand course that will determine whether you are ready to proceed in your learning. You have no more than two chances to successfully complete your exam.
You should participate in the coordinating hands-on clinic portion of your course within a short period of time, waiting no more than 2-4 weeks, while the information is fresh in your mind.
Live courses/clinics are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Since these fill well in advance and models need to be arranged, it is advised to secure your spot as soon as possible. You will be able to pick your clinic date when registering. If your course has an on-demand component, this MUST be completed to attend your clinic. We cannot allow any student who has not completed on-demand didactic to attend a clinic, and the cancellation policy will apply.
Qualifying Aesthetic Mentor courses are accredited by Global Accreditation Group. Information and instructions on how to receive your credits will be sent to you for each CME qualifying course. Courses must be completed in order to receive credits. Contact your Student Advisor for more information.
Aesthetic Mentor Cancellation Policy:

Improve your work/life balance and earning potential by transitioning into a rewarding career in aesthetic nursing
76% of healthcare workers reported exhaustion and burnout during covid
RNs and NPs are at the forefront of patient care and are experiencing an increasing amount of burnout. The traumatic and difficult patient care situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has escalated this emotional exhaustion, leaving many nurses in a state of burnout, suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
NP injectors in the 90th percentile earned $291,000 last year
The aesthetic market is booming, and the demand for aesthetic nurses and injectors has never been greater. The national average salary for an aesthetic nurse is around $90,000, with the capability of earning double or triple that depending on your experience. Compared to hospital work, many nurses find the private practice setting more conducive to establishing a greater work/life balance.
Our mission is to cultivate safe, successful medical aesthetic providers with industry-leading hands-on training and post-certification career development.
"If you're looking to become a nurse injector, Aesthetic Mentor is the place. You will gain the confidence and skills needed to be safe and successful. I highly recommend it."
