Aesthetic nursing is a very specific form of nursing that focuses on treating patients who are receiving aesthetic treatments or plastic surgery. Working as an aesthetic nurse is a very rewarding career option that many people enjoy, and if you are interested in working in the medical field, you may want to consider this career as well. Aesthetic Mentor offers BOTOX® classes for nurses, as well as a variety of other training courses that can get you started in aesthetic nursing. Here’s why it can be such a rewarding career choice.
When a patient chooses to receive an aesthetic procedure, it is often because they want to boost their confidence in their overall appearance. As a nurse, you have the privilege of supporting patients through the process of their treatment, and you get to witness their overall transformation from beginning to end. You will see firsthand how your work is helping people feel happier and more confident, which can be incredibly rewarding.
While this isn’t always the case, aesthetic nurses do typically receive a bit more in earnings than nurses who work in a traditional hospital, for example. This is because a career in aesthetic nursing requires a few years of experience as well as specific training courses in the field, such as BOTOX® and filler training for nurses. This extra work and preparation is often rewarded with a higher salary.
When you work in a hospital or clinic as a nurse, you may be required to work nights or holiday hours, which can be incredibly stressful and tiring. Aesthetic nurses often find they don’t have these same stresses, so they can enjoy a regular schedule and be more energetic and functional when they are at work.
Aesthetic nursing is a very rewarding career, and aesthetic nurses provide very important care for patients when receiving treatments such as injections. If you are considering a career in aesthetic nursing, you can train to give BOTOX® and filler with Dr. Russo and his team at Aesthetic Mentor in Waltham, MA. Contact us today to learn more.
